Darlene L. Bates

Darlene Bates, age 75 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Heartland of Kettering. She was born September 18, 1946 in Dayton.

Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Gard; husband, Thomas Bates; great grandson, Mariano Padilla; son-in-law, Daryl Miniard; brother, John Gard.

Darlene will be missed by her loving children, Thomas Bates, David (Brenda) Bates, Robert (Tammy Jo) Bates, Gary Bates, Karen (Ray) Myers, Kimberly Miniard; grandchildren, Kayla, Casey and Brittany Abney, Alana Miles, Angel Bates, Ashley (Jose) Zelaya, Robert W. (Tamara) Bates, Jr., April, Brandon (Emily), Brianna & Kaitlyn Bates, Dustin & Courtney Baker, Ryan & Meadow Miniard; great grandchildren, Christopher & Brayden, Elijah, Landon, Jaxon, Carson, and Maddilyn, Miranda, Adrianna, Mariah & Jasmin, Sarina, Destiny & David, Colten, Alayna, Cheyenne, Sebastian & Sunshine; great-great grandchildren, Aleena, Ayden, Jose Jr., and Guadalupe.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dayton National Cemetery.
