Danny W. Oney

Danny Wayne Oney, age 69, of Franklin, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2024. He was born July 19, 1955 in Wayland, Kentucky to the late James and Rose Oney.

Danny was such an amazing person and never knew a stranger. He literally loved everyone he met. Always ready to help, do whatever and was a go with the flow person. An amazing Papaw and a loving devoted father. Words can’t describe how much he will be missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Oney and grandson, Noble Smith. Along with numerous brothers and sisters.

Danny is survived by his wife, Annie Austin; his son, Kevin (Alisha) Oney; his daughter, Christina (Chris) Smith; his beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Chloe, Hannah, Brodi, Charlie, Cash and Harper and his brothers, David (Beulah) Oney and Herbert (Sherline) Oney, along with numerous other loved ones and his church family.

In his free time, Danny enjoyed going to church, studying the Bible, spending time with his family, traveling, singing, playing music, fishing, puzzles, playing cards and Farkle with family and swinging on the front porch with his wife, Annie.

He will always be remembered for his love of life, love of talking to anyone and everyone and the love he had for his family.

A Celebration of Danny's Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Church of God of Prophecy, 3714 Tytus Ave in Middletown.
