Danny was an extraordinary man and a loving husband, father, Pa, brother and friend. He passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024 at the age of 69 after a seven month battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor.
He was born on March, 13, 1955 to Cassel and Mabel Palmer in Dayton, Ohio. Even though they attended Walter E. Stebbins High School together, Danny met the love of his life, Beverly, in Florida while they were both visiting friends on spring break. Danny and Bev married on October 16, 1976 and enjoyed 48 beautiful years of marriage and had two daughters of whom Danny was very proud, Brooke and Lindsey.
Danny worked as a graphic artist for DISAM at WPAFB for 41 years, retiring in 2018. He was an incredible artist and his portfolio was vast. Ranging from album covers to company logos, model kits to Halloween costumes, rocking horses to custom furniture, tattoos to t-shirts. He could do it all.
Many knew Danny as Batman. He fabricated several versions of his costume over the last 40 years bringing a lot of joy to trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood and made special visits to Children's Hospital, elementary schools and the Stoddard Avenue Pumpkin Hill.
He loved motorcycles and cars. He enjoyed taking trips to Tennessee to ride the Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap and taking drives through the country in his Corvette, especially in recent months. Danny loved going on cruises to the Caribbean, making it a priority to go at least once a year.
Danny was a lifelong fan of progressive rock music and always kept a meticulous yard, the kind that could have easily been featured in a magazine.
His love for his family was endless and one of his greatest joys in life was being a Pa to his three grandchildren, Gavin, Olivia and Palmer.
Danny's talent was limitless, his smile was infectious, his hobbies and interests were unique, and his hair was iconic. Danny was an exceptional man who was taken from this world too soon but leaves a lasting legacy and his memory will live on in each of us.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Cassel and Mabel Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Palmer; two daughters and son-in-laws, Brooke (Lee) Jones, Lindsey (Ryan) Temple; three grandchildren, Gavin Temple, Olivia Temple and Palmer Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Randy (Jenny) Palmer; sister and brother-in-law, Donna (Jim) Bardon and nieces, Adrienne Palmer, Madeline Palmer and Mary Bardon; sister and brother-in-law, Connie (Eric) Jensen; extended family and numerous friends of whom he considered family.
