Daniel W. Whitt

Daniel W. "Dan" Whitt, age 66 of Moraine, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Heartland of Centerville. He was born October 10, 1952 in Magoffin, Kentucky the son of the late Buel and Bessie (LeMasters) Whitt.

Dan retired after 20 years of dedicated service from ResCare in Dayton, Ohio, where he received several awards for his loving care. He had a lifelong passion for cooking for his family and friends.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Hershel Salyer, Jr. and Samuel Whitt; brothers-in-law, Calla Howard and Harry Powers.

Daniel is survived by his siblings, Carrol Powers, Jimmie (Annette) Salyer, Sandy Howard, Timothy Whitt and Mark Whitt; former wife, Pam Whitt; daughter, Amanda Daniels; grandchildren, Lyssa and Payson; special cousin, Sandra Jean Jones; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, where family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at 3:00 pm, Friday, July 19, 2019 at Adams Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky.
