Daniel J. Steinmetz

Daniel J. Steinmetz, age 79 of Washington Township, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born January 6, 1945 in Tiffin, Ohio the son of the late Herman and Mary Steinmetz. Dan earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Dayton. He had a long career as a manufacturing representative for Spring Air Mattress Company and Tempurpedic. Dan was an active member of Fairhaven Church where he started a valet service and was a member of the Men's Prayer Group. He liked to play cards, solve crossword puzzles, and watch sports. His favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns, Dayton Flyers basketball and Notre Dame football. Dan was happiest spending time with his wife and family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ed Steinmetz.

Dan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen Steinmetz; son, Brian Steinmetz; daughter, Julie (David) Lambright; grandsons, Charlie Lambright, and Henry Colley-Lambright; brother, Dave (Gail) Steinmetz; sister-in-law, Sandy Steinmetz; and by numerous other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 2:00PM at Fairhaven Church, 637 E Whipp Rd, Centerville, OH 45459.
