Daniel Seger

Seger, Daniel R., age 76 of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2016. He was born on April 16, 1940 to the late Herman and Emma Seger, of New Albany, IN.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Eileen Bauer, Judith Patton.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Carylon; children Deborah (Jim) Donnelly, Dawn (Pat) Fitzgerald, Deanna (Patrick) Golem-Imlay, Dona (Mike) Seger-Lawson; grandchildren Alexander, Brendan, Michael, Marcus (Lainey), Christopher, Ashley, Kyle, Daniel, Megan, Zach, and Emma; great-granddaughter Addie; as well as extended family and friends.
Dan proudly served our country for 20 years in the United States Air Force before retiring as a Lt. Col. He then worked as a program director for The Analytic Sciences Corporation for many years. Dan was an avid bird watcher, mentor, and volunteer. More than anything he loved and cherished his family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, from 5pm-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday January 5, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Huber Heights, starting at 10am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to Hospice or to The OSU James Cancer Center.
