Daniel Schroeder passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 15, 2015. Dan was born in Dayton Ohio July 8, 1940 to William and Ruth Schroeder. He graduated from Wayne High School and entered the United States Marine Corp where he served 4 years. He married Tracy Latham on November 2, 1963. Dan worked at NCR for many years until his retirement in 1995. He went to work for Lexis Nexis until his final retirement in 2008. Dan loved wood working for many years becoming an experienced carver and taking up scroll sawing to which he became very successful and created wonderful pieces of art. He enjoyed watching his sons play various sports for many years and helped them become successful in whatever sport they chose to participate. As he was retired, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren in bowling, baseball, and soccer. He made every match or game that they played and truly enjoyed all their success. Upon his retirement, Dan enjoyed sleeping in and just being able to live. He took up the sport of bowling to which became his true passion. He bowled a 299 in November of 2010 to which is one of his greatest achievement's bowling. Dan will be sorely missed by all who knew him and experienced his love and understanding. Dan was preceded in death by his parents William and Ruth Schroeder, grandparents August and Emma Schroeder. Dan is survived by his wife of 51 years Tracy Schroeder, two sons, Bill Schroeder of Nokomis Fl, John and Joanna Schroeder of Beavercreek Oh. Grandsons Justine, Austin, and Alex Schroeder.
