Daniel Rammel Mahle, Sr.
Age 54, moved on to greener pastures Tuesday, February 17, 2009, surrounded by family.
He was welcomed by his parents, Lawrence Mahle Sr. and Rita Ann Baker.
Dan was employed by the City of Dayton as an equipment operator, and worked at Cornett Trucking and Mahle Dental Lab prior to that. Dan was lucky to have lived his dream of being in a rock and roll band, enjoyed weekend getaways to his trailer at Port Clinton, was a faithful follower of NASCAR, and a loyal Cincinnati Bengals fan. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson and doing body work and painting on cars and bikes.
His greatest love was his family who are left to mourn him: his wife of 35 years Diane, his son Daniel Jr. and wife Angel, and two adored grandchildren, Alyssa Dawn and Zachary Daniel. He is also survived by his brother Lawrence (Beverly) Mahle Jr., and sisters Angela (William) Roberts, Karen (William) Weyhrich, Julia (Jerry) Troidl, Marita (Rich) Allen, Beth (Tim) Zimmer, and Pamela (Steven) Speranza, as well as special uncle William Mahle and stepmother Elizabeth Mahle, brothers-in-law Doug Grewe (Don Stephens), Greg Grewe, sisters-in-law Pamela Richards (Jack), Linda Wagner (Rick), mother-in-law, Irene Grewe and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at Miami Shores of Moraine Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the family to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Family will be receiving friends from 5-8 pm, Friday, February 20, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Memorial service will be held at 6 pm.
