Daniel Eugene Jones

Daniel E. Jones, age 73, of Dayton, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties from complications due to diabetes. Dan was a retired building inspector for Wexford County in Cadillac Michigan where he lived for many years. He retired from the Army National Guard which he proudly served. Daniel also was a member of the Bethel High School class of 1954. He was preceded in death his by parents; James and Lucy Jones; brother, Harvey Jones. Daniel is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Meta and Autie Binion, of Round Hill, Kentucky; sister-in-law Kris Jones of Traverse City, Michigan; 4 children David Jones, Linda (Norman Jr.) Sorensen, Ronnie (Cammy) Jones and Darin Jones; 7 grandchildren; Jennifer, Ronnie and Becky Ann Sorensen, Hamilton, Matthew, Aaron and Dustin Jones; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sue and Rich Baldwin. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 10:30am-11:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11:30am. Burial will be at the Dayton National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to your local Humane Society in Daniel's memory.
