Edwards, Daniel Levi (Jr.), age 84 of Huber Heights, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the VA Medical Center, Dayton. He was born May 11, 1925 in Tennessee, the son of the late Daniel Levi & Ethel (Cox) Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cox Edwards; sons, James Ray and Russell Edwards; stepson, Steven (Madelyn) Cox; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Grant of Batavia, OH, Mary (Sam) Halcomb of Akron, OH, Flora (Wayne) Green of Marion, OH; brothers, Wilburn (Wanda) Edwards of Middletown, OH, and the late Shelborn and Dalephine Edwards of Loveland, OH; and a host of nieces & nephews. Dan was a WWII Army Veteran and served in the 80th Infantry Blue Ridge Division and continued his service working for the US Government in the State Department. Dan was also a proud member of the Disabled Veterans, VFW, Masonic Lodge 779, and the Republican Party. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH, with Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:30 PM until the time of services. Additional services will be held at 1 PM on Monday at House-Rawlings Funeral Home, 510 E. Fourth St., London, KY 40741, with Pastor Lawrence Durham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at A. R.
