Daniel A. Slorp
August 8, 1938 — January 17, 2022
Daniel A. Slorp, age 83, Vandalia, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on Monday, January 17, 2022.
Dan was born August 8, 1938 in Eaton, Ohio to the late Charles & Juanita Slorp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Todd W. Slorp and step-son, Kevin Elmore.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Irene Slorp; son, Tom Slorp; daughters, Teri (Rick) Weaver, Traci (Wade) Ferry and Tina Borton; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Dan worked at the University of Dayton for 36 years retiring in 2000. He was a former Deacon at the Cassel Hill Church of Christ. Dan loved woodworking and fishing.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 4-6pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 6pm, with Pastor David Edmonds officiating.
