Dana R. Swisher, age 60, of Union Ohio passed away January 21, 2020. He was born July 28, 1959 in Clearfield, PA to the late Ronald and Helen Swisher.
Dana was currently employed at Techmetals in Dayton, Ohio. Dana was a dedicated and respected employee of the company for close to thirty nine years, where he also met his beloved wife Patsy of twenty four years. He was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Clearfield, PA. He was happiest sitting around a campfire, telling jokes. He had a gift for making people laugh. Camping, building fires, spending summer days in the pool was what he loved. Dana was a fan of watching sports with his favorite teams being The Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State University, and any sport his cherished grandchildren were playing. As long as he was with family, life was good. His smile could brighten up any room and he had an infectious laugh that made everyone around smile. Dana was a master joke teller and always had "a new one for ya". He was always calm and mastered the art of patience but he also showed that he could be as anxious as a kid for holidays with his family or many special trips with his wife Patsy. Forever loved and never forgotten.
Dana was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Swisher and Mother, Helen Swisher.
Dana is survived by his wife: Patsy Swisher. Son and daughter-in- law: Joseph and Amber Shields. Son: James Cool. Grandkids: Alyssa, Jacob, Noah, and Caleb. Sister: Linda Chernek (Roy Milliman).
