POWELL, Dan, 65, of Beavercreek passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at The Hospice of Dayton.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ardyce Powell; son David Powell; daughter Laurie Steckle; grandchildren Sean, Bradley, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Ryan; brother Tom Powell; and many special friends.
He was retired veteran from the U.S. Air Force with service in Vietnam. His military decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 10 Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal. Dan was recently retired from Digital Concepts Inc. as a CFO. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM October 29, 2011 at Aley United Methodist Church, 4143 Kemp Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to National Lung Cancer Partnership, 222 N. Midvale Blvd Suite 6, Madison, WI 53705.
