Dallas Ray Phillips, Jr., 58, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on May 8th, 2022. Dallas was born in Ronceverte, WV, on November 21st, 1963.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Ray Phillips.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two children, Bo and Haley; his siblings, Susan and Steven; his mother, Carolyn Sue Phillips; and countless other family and friends.
Whoever met Dallas couldn't help but love him. Dallas had an infectious smile and a personality that lit up a room. His laugh could be heard from miles away, it drew people in and you couldn't help but laugh too. Dallas never made his problems anyone else's, but he was always there for everyone else. Dallas was and still is the best dad anyone could ever ask for. He had the most carefree, laidback outlook on life. He told the best dad jokes. He believed in us more than anyone and he had the kindest heart. Dallas will always be our hero and he will continue to live on through us. Every new adventure, every great memory, every milestone and every heartache, he will be in our hearts cheering us on. He has prepared us for so many of life's great obstacles, but nothing could prepare us for this.
If we can be half the person Dallas was then I think we will be just fine.
"There's a place that I travel,
When I want to roam
And nobody knows it but me.
The roads don't go there,
And the signs stay home
And nobody knows it but me.
It's far, far away and way, way afar,
It's over the moon and the sea,
And wherever you are going,
That's wherever you are
And nobody knows it but me."
