Dale Alan Selves

Dale Alan Selves, age 65 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022. He was born January 2, 1957 in Flint, Michigan the son of Ernest and Marowe Selves.

Dale was devoted to his faith, his family and his friends. He served various offices in the congregations to which he belonged, but he especially enjoyed singing in the church choir and the quartet at Trinity was his favorite gig. He found meaningful work in running laboratory tests that helped people get well. Over the past several years, he honed his photography skills and loved taking pictures of his family. He was always quick to have a smile and a dad joke. Others always felt comfortable around him and he always was willing to listen. He enjoyed travel with his family and was already planning his next big adventure. No matter where he lived, he was a life long University of Michigan fan. Go Blue!

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Russell Selves.

Dale is survived by his wife, Esther; children, Micah (Andrea) Selves and Caleb Selves; grandchildren, Parker, Emily, Isaiah and Avery; brother, Matthew Selves; 2 nephews; 1 niece and 2 great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Michigan Lutheran Seminary or to an organization of your choice in Dale's honor.

A memorial service will be held on January 14th at 10 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth, Michigan. A meal will be provided after the service.
