Dale Edwin Martin

July 23, 1936 — November 23, 2022

Dale Edwin Martin, 86, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022. Loving husband of Eileen Martin for 68 years, cherished father of Debbie (Ray Brown) Campbell, adored grandfather of Ricky Campbell and Bryan (Wenji Huang) Campbell, dear brother of Ernest (Donna) Martin and Connie Martin and loved companion of Bear the dog. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Esther Martin, siblings Lorene Martin and Robert Martin.

Some of Dale's favorite past times were fishing at Indian Lake, working in the yard and he was also an animal lover. Dale and Eileen both volunteered at the Greene County Democratic Party for 20+ years. They were involved with the adoptive family program at Christmas. If any child wanted a bicycle Dale always would make sure they got it.

Dale was known by his family to be a very kind and generous man. He was also known as being a trickster and loved to play practical jokes on people. One of his most memorable was at a slumber party that Debbie had as a child, he tied a string to a rocking chair to make it move on its own and the kids thought that the chair was haunted. Debbie said that it was years before she was no longer afraid of the basement. What a memory to have!!

Dale will be missed by all that knew him, but please remember to share the memories that he created and have a laugh. He would love that.
