Dale "Poppy" Derringer, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at the age of 84 peacefully at home with family by his side. He was preceded in death by parents, Irene and Raymond; son, Dean; and aunt, Edith.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Christine; sons: Douglas, David (Terri) and Daniel; grandchildren: Kristen (Steve) and Bryan (Elizabeth); great-grandchildren: Cailin, Mathew, Benjamin and Jacob; and brother, Gene (Madgie).
Dale loved his family. He was an avid fisherman; enjoyed nature and loved to go camping in Daniels RV bringing home fish on his many trips to Florida. Woodworking was one of his many hobbies, making a variety of things like decorations and toys for the kids that everyone enjoyed. May his memory be a blessing for all. He will be sorely missed.
Cremation by Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., service and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 am. Fr. Tom Shearer officiating.
