Dal L. Anderson

Dal L. Anderson, age 65, of Dayton, formerly of Las Vegas, NV, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton after a long battle Neuroendocrine Cancer. He was born April 15, 1954 in Miles City, Montana the son of late, Al and Irene (Sweet) Anderson.

He was a manager/buyer of retail operation in Southern California where he met and hired his future wife, Robin Barnett. They worked together for over 16 years. Dal then went into computer sales and then banking. After banking, he worked as a locksmith where he was skilled in installing doors and locks. Dal then worked for the biggest insurance company in Las Vegas, United Healthcare of Nevada. He was involved in sales for the Minibar Company where he travelled all across the United States and also worked part-time for Home Depot during this time. After being diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer, he then dedicated his time and effort in educating himself and others on the disease. Dal was actively involved in the NCAN online support and awareness group. Dal started a group in Las Vegas where he would hold monthly meetings at the Caring Place for Cancer. He was one of the first patients in Las Vegas to receive SIR-spheres for the treatment of tumors in the liver. Dal continued to mentor, teach, train and support many people, locally and around the world, on Neuroendocrine Cancer, in the various chat groups he was involved with.

Dal is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Robin; daughter, Lindsey (Jotham) Smith; son, Andrew Ryan Anderson; beloved granddaughter, Jocelyn Mae Smith; two brothers, Jon (Carolyn) Anderson, Robert (Michelle) Anderson; nieces and nephews, Britt (Sean) Sparks, Chris (Sarah) Anderson and Nicholas Anderson. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
