TURNER, D Y, 84 of Dayton went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 13, 2006. He was a former pastor and minister of the Gospel. He served his country in the Pacific Theater during WWII in the U.S. Army. D Y was a proud member of the Trinity Lighthouse Church for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 67 years, Aretta; five children: Gloria (John) Workman of Jeffersonville, Linda (Terry) Orrill of New Paris, Marie (Chuck) Herzog of New Paris, David (Michelle) Turner of Huber Heights, Almeda (Keith) Phipps of Donnelsville; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers: Lewis, William, and Eddie; and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held 6-8:00PM Friday, September 15th at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.). Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday at the Trinity Lighthouse Church, 4701 Frederick Pike, Dayton. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
