D. Berry Smith

Smith, D. Berry, age 76, of Centerville, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2007. Berry was a United States Air Force Veteran proudly serving during the Korean War. He retired as Sales Manager with over 31 years of service for Appleton Papers Inc., and was an avid gardener.

Berry is survived by his wife of over 52 years: Mary (McClain) Smith; son: Mark Smith of Centerville; daughter: Leeanna Smith-Scovil of Centerville; and two granddaughters: Marci & Emily Scovil. He was preceded in death by his parents: Zhale & Esther (Roberts) Smith.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 30 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and envelopes will be provided.
