Cynthia Lee Lance, a talented creative writer, passed away on December 1, 2024 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on September 13, 1946, in Troy, Ohio, Cynthia brought joy and creativity into the lives of those around her throughout her journey.
Cynthia's career as a writer for The E.F. MacDonald Company showcased her passion for storytelling and her ability to connect with others through the written word. Her talent was matched only by her kindness and dedication to her craft.
A devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Cynthia found great comfort in her faith and cherished moments spent with her prayer group. In her later years, Cynthia was a welcomed recipient of St. Rita Catholic Church's services to the homebound. These relationships nurtured her spirit and provided her with a strong sense of community.
Cynthia is survived by her sisters, Karen (Harvey) Daniel and Linda Wenger; niece, Venus McCoppin Jackson; dear friend, Marilee Wells; among other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Phyllis Lance; son, Shane; daughter, Michelle; sister, Madeline K. Lance; and brother, Richard W. Lance. Each of these family members played a significant role in her life, and their memories will forever be held dear in the hearts of her surviving family.
Cynthia Lee Lance's warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be deeply missed. Her legacy of creativity and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rita Church; 5401 North Main Street; Dayton, Ohio 45415. Fr. Jim Gaynor, Celebrant.
