Curtis Allen Steiner, age 64 of Riverside, Ohio entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday Morning Oct. 13, 2019 at Grace Hope Church surrounded by his family and church family.
Born Aug. 30, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Eugene and Marilyn Steiner; Curt is remembered as a faithful and loving husband as well as a devoted, strong and gentle father. He earned and embraced his title of "Worlds Greatest Papaw" with his 6 grandchildren.
The compassion and devotion Curt shared in modeling Corinthians 1:13 leaves a significant impact on the lives of his family, friends and the community.
Curt was blessed to be married to the love of his life, Marilyn for 36 years. Together they raised 2 children, Amber Steiner and Jacob (Amber) Steiner. Curt had 6 grandchildren including: Marqueze, Cameron, Chandler, Kyndall, Selena and Evalee. Curt is survived by his sister Christine Parker, nieces Susan, Jenny, nephew William and numerous family members whom he loved and cherished dearly.
A graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, Curt attended Sinclair Community College, obtaining his associates degree. Curt established his career with the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center. He served for 30 years as the Supervisor for the Dietary and Food Services department. After his retirement, Curt continued to work, serving in the dietary department for Mad River Local Schools for 9 years.
Curt's passion was serving to make a difference and positive impact within our community and individuals life. Curt was known as "Riverside's Santa Claus." He spread endless holiday and Christmas cheer and love to Mad River Schools, nursing homes, local businesses and churches as Santa Claus. Additionally, Curt devoted his time serving with the Mad Rivers Lion Club and Grace Hope Church. Spreading God's word, uplifting someone in their time of need, or filling a room with laughter brought Curt the greatest happiness. His inspiring life will long remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.
Visitation will be Oct. 17, 2019 from 5pm – 8pm at Newcomer Funereal Home located in Beavercreek, Ohio. Service will be on Oct. 18th at 10am also located at Newcomer Funereal Home in Beavercreek.
