Curtis Oney

ONEY, Curtis, age 67, of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 12, 2008. Born September 1, 1941 in Lackey, KY to the late James Oney and Rosa Ella Oney Ferguson. Preceded in death by his step-father Johnnie S. Ferguson; mother-in-law Ruby Prater; 2 brothers O.C. and Benny; 3 sisters Georgia, Anna and Imogene. Survived by his wife of 7 years, Linda Prater Oney; children Donny (Robin), Patricia, Angie, Billy Wayne Weaver, Mary Ellen Weaver; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers David (Beulah), Herbert (Sherline), Danny (Gloria), Timothy Ferguson; sisters Zetta (William), Darlene (Johnny); brother-in-law Jack Vance; and many extended family and friends . Curtis never met a stranger, he was loved by all. He was the Chaplin of the VFW #3438 Men's Auxiliary. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 5-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 11:30 am at the funeral home, Rev. Fyffe officiating. Burial will be at Heritage Hills Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family or a charity of your choice.
