ROSELL, Curtis Eugene (Lawagway), age 75, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Beloved husband of 55 years to Barbara Jean, and loving daddy to daughter Brenda. Survived by sisters, Marie Kirk of Cincinnati, Catherine Downing of Arizona, Bessie and husband Jerry Kirk of Kettering, Bernetta Chuvalas of Dayton, Charlotte and husband Bill Davidson of West Carrollton, Edith and husband Bill Kelly of Kettering, and sister-in-law, Careen Rosell of Gratis; one brother, Melvin and wife Delores Rosell of Utah; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Mr. Rosell was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna Rosell; 4 brothers, Durward, Merlin, Walter, and Paul Rosell; and by infant son, Stephen Frederick Rosell. Curtis served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan, enlisting in January 1952 and honorably discharged in January 1956. Mr. Rosell was a past Cub Scout Master, a past church youth advisor and a former member of the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with Pastor's Qwinn Lacy and Fred Shaw officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
