Curtis W. Delay, age 68 of Dayton, passed away January 20, 2017. He was born November 9, 1948 in Hayward, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ethel Sampley; brother, Ronnie "Kay" Palmer; and granddaughter, Henley Brinkman.
Curtis is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Vonnie Delay; children: Michael (Meredith) Delay, James Delay and Vanessa (Stephen) Brinkman; granddaughter, Caitlyn Delay; brother, Tony (Carmella) Delay; and very close friends, The Speelman's and The Corwin's.
Curtis was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam War.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Burial and military honors will be held at Dayton National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Contributions may be made in Curtis' memory to the American Heart Association.
