Craig J. Carey, age 52 of Middletown, Ohio, passed away on October 8, 2015. He was born March 15, 1963 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to his father Elijah John Carey and his late mother Naomi Woods Carey.
Craig served proudly as a member of the United Staes Army. He served with distinction receiving the Army Achievement Medal (2nd metal), National Defense Service Medal, Army Lapel Button, Southeast Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Army/Overseas Service Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal and Expert Badges in (Grenade/Rifle/Driver and Mechanic).
Craig will be remembered for his caring spirit and loving nature. He was an optimist and a dreamer. The term "Good Man" was Craig. He was just a good person. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his two sons Joshua M. Carey (26), US Army and Phillip M. Carey (16).
He is fondly and forever remembered by his former spouse Nicole H. Carey who cared for him until the end.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister Sandra Carey and brothers Elijah Carey, James Carey and Jeffery Carey, sisters Cretta Suggs and Johnella Carmon along with a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
He will be returned to his birthplace of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
