Cory Michael Thorpe

Cory Michael Thorpe, age 28 of Beavercreek, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2017. He was born in Dayton to proud and loving parents, Danette Collins and James Thorpe, II. Cory graduated from Beavercreek High School in 2007. He enjoyed spending his time in nature, hiking and with his family. Cory had a passion for animals and loved spending his time with his loyal canine companion, Enoch.

Cory had a loving and compassionate heart and loved to make others happy. He always took time to play with his niece, Lilly, who adored her uncle Cory. Cory was outgoing and joyful, he had a smile that could brighten a room and never knew a stranger. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who love him.

Cory leaves to cherish his memory, mother and step-father, Danette (Chris) Collins; father, James Thorpe, II; brother, James (Michelle) Thorpe, III; niece, Lilly Thorpe; grandmother, Jean Thorpe; aunts, Cathy Sarapata and Jo Stewart; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 4pm. The family will greet friends and loved ones for two hours prior to the service (2pm-4pm). Bobbi Predmore to officiate. A private family interment will take place at Valley View Cemetery.
