Cornelius William "Neal" Spellman, age 50 of Springfield, passed away January 3, 2014. He was born October 14, 1963 in Springfield to the late Lewis and Bernice Spellman. In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Terry Smith.
Neal is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret Spellman; son, James Spellman; brothers and sisters: Penny Hibbs, Pam Spellman, Anna (Gary) Chain, Phillip (Sandra) Spellman, Lewis Spellman, Glen (Beth) Spellman and Sam (Donna) Spellman; sister-in-law, Mary Will; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Sarah Ann.
Neal was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Gulf War; he retired after 18 years of service in the military.
