Corby (Darryl) King, age 64, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1956 in Roses Creek, Tennessee to the late Ray and Elizabeth King.
Born Darryl D. King, he was nick-named "Corby" by his mother. He was a happy, fun and wonderful guy who would do anything for anyone without complaint. Corby loved to work on cars and took great pride in what he could do with them. He loved riding motorcycles, playing guitar, and listening to music. Corby also loved the bible and quoting it. He was the family historian going all the way back to the Revolutionary War. It was a joy and a blessing to know Corby and he will be dearly missed.
Along with his parents, Corby was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Regina and an infant sibling.
Corby is survived by his son, Jimmy King; step-children, Misty and Michael; loving girlfriend, Sandee Maye; half-sister, Teresa Perkins; aunt, Margie Garland; many other family members; his dogs, Pete and Maddie; and an enormous amount of friends.
A GoFundMe account has been established to assist with funeral expenses.
Family will receive friends Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
