Corbett Baker age 95, of Beavercreek passed away December 9, 2019 at Brookdale of Kettering.
He was born January 1, 1924 in Crane Creek, Kentucky to the late Gilbert and Lucy (Barrett) Baker. He was one of 9 children born to this union.
Corbett was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served in both the European and Pacific theaters of operation during World War 2.
He was a Master Machinist for many decades in the Dayton area. Corbett was a Mason (Oneida Lodge F&AM #736 in Kentucky) for over 75 years and a member of AMVETS Post 24 and VFW Post 9927.
Corbett is survived by his only child Ken Baker of Beavercreek; his brother Theo and his sister Louise; as well as many other relatives and friends who were fortunate to know him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 9-10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel with a funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Corbett's memory to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
