Age 71, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Purcell; and by her only son, Charles Shigley Jr. Cora is survived by her brother, William "Shorty" Kincaid; daughter and son-in-law, Debra & Steve Shaffer; daughters, Geraldine Lebron & Cynthia Agee; 11 grandchildren; nine precious great grandchildren; and numerous other family members & friends. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of AMVETS post # 33. She volunteered at the VA Hospital for over 25 years and was a past Ohio AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary VAVS & Hospital Chairperson. AMVETS and the VA Hospital was her life. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
