Cora Carroll, age 83 of Fairborn, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 19, 1940 in Osborn, Ohio the daughter of Nancy Caudill-Lafferty .
Cora graduated from Fairborn High School in 1959, where she played the French horn in the marching band. On June 5, 1976 she married the love of her life, James Carroll.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James Carroll; mother, Nancy Alice Caudill-Lafferty; sister, Georgia Summers and brother, Larry Thompson.
Cora is survived by her son, Bradley (Connie Kriegbaum) Carroll; sisters, Virginia Miller, Zella Garrett and Cindy Schulte; brothers, Paul Smallwood-Lafferty, John Smallwood and Timothy Lafferty; and her dog, Leah.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a service to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Randy Dennis officiating at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Cora will be laid to rest at Fairfield Cemetery (720 Clover Street, Fairborn, Ohio 45324) next to James following the service.
