Constance Lee Stansberry

Constance Lee Stansberry passed away very peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends on Tuesday March 29, 2011.

Connie the "Sweet Woman" has gone home to see the Lord Jesus Christ and she will be sorely missed but her life will be forever celebrated.

Loving and Faithful wife to Ray Stansberry. Loving, Kind, Caring, and Compassionate Mother to; Amy Hellickson, Cathy (Wally) Potter, Sarah Stansberry (Andrew Rodricks), Ray (Jennifer) Stansberry. Proud Grandmother to Shawn, Daniel, Nicholas, Heather, Eric, Tommy, Rusty, Madison, Chloe and Loving Great Grandmother as well.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Alma Payne, father in law Robert Lee. Stansberry, and brother Robert (Faye) Byrd.

She is survived by Beverly (Don) Martin, Jim (Anna) Byrd, Dennis (Gail) Byrd, Mike (Judy) Byrd, Larry (Pam) Byrd, Carol Woods, and adopted sister Brenda (Mike) Teckenbrock.

She bravely and faithfully fought her second battle against Cancer since November 2010.

Connie was supported and cared for by her family, friends and the wonderful people at Hospice of Heartland. Specifically Julia, Teresa and all the other caring nursing staff. Also Cindy Macy from Hospice, and Connie's "Angel" Heather from Dr. Merl's Office. A Special Thanks also goes out to her coworkers at Heartland of Kettering who had helped support her through her battle, especially Tabitha, Nancy, Lisa, Fayth, Barb, Yoshi and her special sister Brenda who stayed at her side, day and night, to the end. The family would like to extend a very grateful THANK YOU to everybody listed above and all those who helped out through this very tough time.

Connie was many things to many people but will be especially remembered as Sweet Woman and Faithful Loving Wife, Mama to many, Sweet Gram, Loving Grandma and Great Grandma. Also occasionally known as Biscuit, Consuela, one of the "Wild Women Of The Woods", both Girl Scout Leader of Troop 1140 and Boy Scout Leader of Troop 193, Club Member of the "Women on Wheels" MC, CCD Teacher (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine), Respected and Compassionate Nurse & Appreciated Coworker for over 15 years at Heartland of Kettering.

Although we will all miss her dearly, we are confident and happy that we will have Connie on our side, looking down on us and asking the Lord personally to help us through our tough times and celebrating with us through the good. We look forward to seeing Connie waiting for us with open arms when we make the long journey home to Heaven. Eternal rest, grant unto Connie, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Connie rest in peace forever, AMEN.

Viewing Services will be held for everyone to join on Friday April 2, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Boulevard, Kettering OH, 45439, (937) 293-4141. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday April 3, 2011, at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr, Dayton OH, (937) 253-5171. Fr. Chris Worland - Officiating. Burial Services to follow at Heritage Hill Memorial Gardens, 7370 State Route 48, Springboro OH, 45066, (937) 855-5013.
