Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Constance M. LAW (Diaczun) age 47 of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on 21 March 2005. She was a retired Air Force officer who recently was employed as a Human Resources Specialist at Wright-Patterson AFB. Ms. Law was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Baldo Diaczun. She is survived by her four brothers, John Diaczun of Brooklyn, NY, William Diaczun of York, PA, Joseph Diaczun of York, PA and Edward Diaczun of York, PA; numerous nieces and nephews including two grandnieces and one grandnephew. She is also survived by her godmother, Josephine Burnside of Lancaster, PA and uncle, Joseph Baldo of Port Republic, MD and many cousins.

Connie graduated from York Catholic High School, York, PA. She received her bachelor's degree from Millersville State University and Master's degree from Webster University, St Louis, MO. Ms. Law served almost 23 years in the United States Air Force retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. She started her military career as a distinguished graduate of Officer Training School. During her service tenure, she was stationed at numerous military installations maintaining positions in Human Resources, Training, Postal Operations, and as a Squadron Commander three times. She completed Professional Military Education in-residence including Squadron Officer School and Air Command and Staff College. Her awards included Air University, Horace M. Wade Innovation Award, Air Education and Training Command - MAJCOM-level Personnel Manager of the Year, Randolph AFB, TX Outstanding Military Women of the Year, Outstanding Young Women of America and Squadron Level Officer of the Year. Unit awards included Pacific Air Forces Flight of the Year in Information Management, Education Flight of the Year and Military Personnel Flight of the Year at Air Force Level.

Ms. Law also received 23 individual medals and ribbons. Some of those decorations included the Defense Meritorious Unit Award, AF Achievement Award, Outstanding Military Volunteer Medal, Air Force Commendation Medals with four oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Award with two clusters, and Defense Meritorious Service Medals. She was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for her tours in Operation NORTHERN WATCH the gulf region. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, flowers, cards, visits and other numerous gestures of kindness. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday, March 28, 2005 at St. Luke Catholic Church 1440 N. Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432, Fr. Terry Schneider celebrant. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. Interment will be conducted at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 9:00 am (arrival at 8:30 am). After the interment, family and friends will also pay tribute to Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Law at the Women's Memorial Museum.
