HELTON, Conrad Russell, age 76 of Huber Heights, departed peacefully November 30, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton after a brief illness. Conrad (Buddy) was born August 30, 1940 in Seco, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, beloved wife Janet, and his parents, Conrad and Carrie Helton.
Bud leaves behind three adoring daughters: Kimberly (Barry) Kuhn of Huber Heights, Kelly (Lee) Parks of Michigan, and Samantha Myers of Kettering; grandchildren: Ashley (Donny) Jenkins, Oliver, Nathaniel, Addison, and Quinn; great grandchildren, Alaina & Preston. He is also survived by his brothers, David and Doug and countless beloved brothers/sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all of whom miss him dearly, already. Bud was blessed with a large, loud, loving family.
Bud is a 1959 graduate of Mad River High School, was a lieutenant of the Dayton Fire Department for 26 years, worked for The American Red Cross, volunteered for The Muscular Dystrophy Association, was a past president of the local bass club, once bowled a perfect 300, was an avid Reds and Bengals fan, an armchair Jeopardy champion, teller of tales, and a life-saving hero to countless people who never knew his name. Dad was admired and loved by many and will be greatly missed.
