CAMPBELL, Connor D., age 11, of Bellbrook, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010. Connor came into this world in a snow storm and lived his life like a swirling blizzard, fast and forceful. Connor filled his life with everything under the sun. He loved trains, planes, and outer space, Science and Sci Fi, Star Trek and Star Wars, and every type of military plane he could find information on. He was a performer with Spotlite Kidz and Kettering Children's Theatre. He was an artist, a scholar and a Boy Scout in Troop 375. He was a strong leader with a creative soul. He loved to cook, draw, dream and plan. His life plan was to be an Eagle Scout, graduate High School, join the military, go to college, fly jet planes, and become an astronaut. He was to be the first man on Mars. In his retirement he planned to be a train engineer. His only weakness was his physical heart. He could make you laugh and cry in the same breath. His knowledge for minute details was staggering. With his intelligence he could hold his own with any adult in scientific conversion. Connor had just finished the 5th grade at Bell Creek Intermediate and was excited to be entering the 6th grade at Bellbrook Middle School with plans of participating in the band playing the baratone tuba. A star that burns twice as bright burns half as long. Connor is survived by his Mom and Dad, Jill and Ron Campbell, his younger brother, Collin of Bellbrook; his grandparents, Tom and Joyce Stauffer of Centerville and Mary and George Walker of Dayton; six Aunts and Uncles, Jerry Stauffer of Columbus, Penny and Walter Cook of Centerville, Kindra and Joe Campbell of Carlisle, and Karen Nagy of Centerville; four cousins, Kyle and Megan Cook, Kayla and Annie Campbell; plus many many friends. Connor was preceded in death by his papaw, Harold Dean Campbell; Aunt, Meshelle Campbell. Burial will follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to the Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation (P.O. Box 547, Tenafly, New Jersey 07670, info@childrenscardiomyopathy.org).
