Connie M. Manning

Connie M. Manning, age 75, of Clayton, passed away on August 1, 2023. She was born on January 20, 1948 to the late Lloyd and Bobbie Spurlock.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a collector of knick-knacks and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them, especially watching The Golden Girls. She also enjoyed cooking, and her chicken and dumplings were a family favorite. Her love and her presence will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by brother, Greg Spurlock; and her two nieces, Frankie and Nikki.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Randall Manning; her daughter, Kimberly Dixon; grandchildren: Britnie (Cody) Patrick and Autumn Dixon (Noah Hall); great-grandchildren: Theo and Caleb; sisters: Sharon (Carl) Lillis, Leslie (Robbie) Thompson, and Debbie Wilson; brother, David Spurlock; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where her funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Medway Cemetery.
