Connie M. Pendergrass

Connie Marie Pendergrass, age 70 of Pelion, South Carolina passed away on December 4, 2020. She was born August 25, 1950 in Peebles, Ohio daughter of the late Raymond Edsel Shoemaker and Mary Ellen (Knisley) Shoemaker .

Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of the Pelion Senior Center for several years. She retired from Walmart in Dayton, Ohio after 25 plus years of employment. Connie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Don William Pendergrass.

Connie is survived by her daughter Dianne (Raymond "Tony" Sr.) Lewis; grandchildren, Amanda Lewis, Raymond "Tony" Lewis Jr.,; step-grandchildren, Samantha Ball and Shawn Van Hoose; brothers, David Raymond (Ricketta) Shoemaker, Douglas Michael (Alma) Shoemaker, and Steven Eugene Shoemaker; brother -in -law, David (Brenda) Pendergrass, Douglas (Regina) Pendergrass; sister-in-law, Veglinda (Ted) Crutchfield; as well as numerous great grandchildren nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Funeral will begin at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park.

The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
