Connie L. Mitchell

Connie L. Mitchell, age 83, of Riverside, passed away on October 16, 2024, at Miami Valley South Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on February 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Charles and Reverend Mary Hughes. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Clarence "Junior" Mitchell; and her daughter, Brenda L. Gibson. 

Connie is survived by her loving children, Denyse Tigner, Shawn Mitchell and Johnny Gibson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her special friend, Judy Shinn; and many other loving family and friends. 

In her free time, she enjoyed playing with her flowers, especially her roses, feeding her hummingbirds and watching the Hallmark channel. Connie was a very devoted mother and devoted herself to her family. She also never met a stranger and kept up on events in others lives. Connie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held privately by the family and she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Grape Grove Cemetery, in Jamestown, Ohio
