Colonel G. Burns, age 62 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was born June 29, 1955 in London, Kentucky the son of Colonel and Doris Burns.
Colonel was a loving husband, father and great grandfather. He never gave up on anything and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a devout musician and song writer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Colonel Burns; siblings Donnie Burns, Paul Burns, Marilyn Burns, Rita Elaine Burns and Vernon Keaton; grandchildren, Destiny Burns, Katlyn Burns and sister, Rachel Burns.
Colonel will be missed by his loving mother, Doris Burns; three sons, Colonel Lee Burns, Paul Adam Burns and Brandon Gene Back; two daughters, Amber Lanae Burns and Amanda Nicole Burns; numerous grandchildren including Gabriel Burns, Aaron Burns, Isabel Burns, Isaiah Burns, Leah Burns, Austin Burns, Emily Burns, Elizabeth Burns and Matthew Burns; great granddaughter, Ember Lynn Burns; fiance, Judy White and best friend, James "Bo" Webb.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. Burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
