Coleman "Smitty" Smith, 79, of Dayton, sunrise July 17, 1937, sunset September 21, 2016. Coleman was born in Carrollton, Georgia to the late Raymond and Mary Smith. Coleman was a dedicated family man. In his free time, he enjoyed working on his vehicles, cooking southern food and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharon Smith; sons, Kenneth (Josette) Smith, Walter (Shirlitha) Kendricks, Brandon Smith; daughters, Deborah Smith, Linda "Gail" Smith, Regina (Jessie) Wright , Nicole Dudley, Jovan (Derrick) Fletcher; a host of grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, MaryAnn (George) Barrett; sister in law, Sharon (Bernard) Holt; special nieces, Linda (Isaac) Watkins, Arica (Robert)Pace, Darcel (Carl) Trent; special nephew, William (Denise) Lynch Jr.; special cousins, Mary Terry; Linda (Michael) Evans; and many other relatives and special friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm immediately followed by a Homegoing Celebration at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A repast will be at 5pm at Jovan Fletcher's home, 2126 Nicholas Rd, Dayton, OH 45417. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel.
