Colan Douglas Metcalf
Age 61, of Trotwood, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Vitas Hospice. He was born June 28, 1947 in Dayton, son of the late Glen and Thelma (Gibbon) Metcalf. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Turner) Metcalf; his brother, Dennis and sister, Theresa Metcalf. Survivors include sons, Douglas Wayne (Toni), Keith (Teresa), and Bryan Metcalf; stepson, Roger (Michele) Turner; stepdaughter, Jackie Purvis; five brothers, Donald, Steven, Richard, Bruce and Michael Metcalf; four sisters, Deloris, Beverly, Debbie and Pam; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and many loved in-laws; nieces, nephews and friends to countless to mention. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio. Pastor Mark Koogler will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Trissel Cemetery.
