Clyde Wendell Whitehead
Age 94 of Kettering, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Bethany Village.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Josephine M. (Rappold) Whitehead; two children, Theresa and Mary Jo Whitehead; daughter-in-law, Saundra Whitehead; and grandson, David Whitehead.
Clyde is survived by his nine children, Gerald & Sandy Whitehead, Patricia (Whitehead) & John Cole, Robert & Judy Whitehead, Lawrence &Judy Whitehead, Dennis & Carol Whitehead, William & Cheri Whitehead, Timothy & Marilyn Whitehead, Debra (Whitehead) & Vance Evans, and Gary & Kim Whitehead. Clyde is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; along with a large extended family and long-time friends.
The family will have a memorial visitation on Friday, March 23, 2012, between the hours of 1:00 & 3:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike in Kettering, Ohio with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Clyde's name to The Hospice of Dayton or donor's favorite charity.
