Clyde Hughes, age 95, of Beavercreek, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2016.
Clyde was born in Marting, West Virginia on September 10, 1920 to the late Oscar & Mary Hughes.
Clyde proudly served in the U.S. Marines Corps during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorthea "Callie" Hughes; daughter, Janet Curry; 6 sisters and 1 brother.
Clyde is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Lee) Walsh; granddaughter, Cheryl Kersey and her partner, David Dyer; great-grandson, Paul (Leeanna) Kersey; great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Callie Kersey; brother-in-laws, Norman Gudorf and Jim MacManma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 1-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 2pm. Clyde will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton, OH.
