Clyde L. Goerler "Lee", age 83 of Connersville, IN passed away on October 8, 2021.
He was born March 17, 1938 in Williamstown, KY to the late Frederick and Alma (Collins) Goerler. He graduated from Taylor High School in North Bend, Ohio, Class of 1956. After graduation Clyde began his career at Cincinnati Bell, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed fishing, going to car shows and watching Westerns.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Albert, Eva, Harold "Gilbert", Lester, Lucille, Florine, Leola, Marybelle, and Ernest Goerler.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon (Greschel) Goerler; his children, Daniel (Karen) Goerler, Leann Goerler, Thomas (Tawana) Goerler, Theresa (Matthew) Bishop, David (Julie) Goerler, Amanda (Jesse) Richardson, and Carrie (Scott Powers) Goerler. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, Erika, Erik, Jacob, Ashley, Shara, Logan, Jacki and Joey; 4 great-grandchildren; his sister Ellen (Arnie) Whelpley; his in-laws, Jack(Joyce) Greschel, Reta Crone and many nieces, nephews, friends, and all his buddies from Cincinnati Bell and Flea Market.
Clyde will always be remembered for his kind generous heart and sense of humor.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Franklin Co. Humane Society, 107 High Street, Brookville, IN 47012 in honor of his love of animals or to benefit people with disabilities, send donations to Benchmark Human Services, 7140 Office Park Drive, West Chester, OH 45069 (Dept. 740 in memo line) in Clyde's memory.
A Celebration of Clyde's life will be held at Fernbank Park (Lee Shelter) in Saylor Park, Ohio on October 30, 2021 beginning at 1:00pm. Please wear your best plaid or flannel and blue jeans in his honor and bring your best Clyde stories to share.
