Clyde Edward "Ed" Smith
Age 68, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife LaFern Smith; and by his father, Roy Lee (1979) & his mother, C. Lola (Norrod) Smith (who passed away one day after Clyde).
Clyde is survived by three children, Edwina (Evan) Watkins, Kathy Wyszynski & Christine (Jerry) Chapman; six grandchildren, Melissa (Andy), Stephanie (Marshall) Buddy, Shannon, Shawn & Shane; six great grandchildren, Amanda, Kaleb, Ashton, Kaylana, Jessica & Peyton; one sister, Janice (Chuck) Collins; dear friend, Juanita and her girls, Crystal & Victoria; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Clyde was the former owner/operator of Ed's Sunoco, Smith Carryout, S & M Drive Thru and A & K Stop.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
