Clotie G. Webb, age 89, of Trotwood, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014.
Clotie was born on February 26, 1925 to the late Webster & Elena Henderson Grigsby. At an early age she joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Homer, LA. Clotie married Silas Webb on November 25, 1945 and together they had three children. She devoted her life to raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Clotie had great faith in God and was an active member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and cooking. Clotie had a great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Webb; her parents, Webster & Elena Henderson Grigsby; sisters, Elesie Thomas, Annie M. Martin, Dessie M. Myles, Rosie L. Norton and Bertha Phillips; brothers, Jimmy Grigsby, Johnnie Grigsby and Jessie Grigsby; and grandson, Timothy L. Priest.
Clotie is survived by her sons, Albert C. (Ethel) Webb and Jerome Webb; daughter, Iler J. Priest; grandchildren, Bryan Priest, Byron (LaToya) Priest, Anton (Jonyell) Webb, Terrell Webb, Albert Moore and Jasmine Webb; 15 great-grandchildren including special great-granddaughter, Tanesia L. Priest; sister, Joyce A. Chatman; and many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Angel Hearts and Vitas Hospice for their loving care. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am.
