Clinton R. Spencer
Age 72, a 52-year resident of Vandalia, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at The Hospice of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth B. "Beth" Spencer in 2009; and by one brother, Joe Duncan.
Clinton is survived by four daughters, Colleen Kunz, Connie (Randy) Everhart, Julie (Glen) Coteral and Kathy Spencer; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh), Christine, Ashley, Michael, Mark, Tilde & Beth Ann; seven great grandchildren, Megan, Kimberly, Morgan, Hannah, Madison, Brandon & Jeremiah; two sisters, Linda (Jim) Hunt & Ruth Duncan; his long-time friends, Cliff & Pat Pack; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Clinton was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in West Berlin, Germany. He enjoyed traveling around with his good friend, Russell, going to different Blue Grass music shows and was a member of the Blue Grass Music Association and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday (12/10) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Pastor Mark Simpson of MorningStar Baptist Church will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 12 Noon until time of service.
The family suggests that contributions be made in memory of Clinton to either the American Stroke or American Heart Associations or to MorningStar Baptist Church.
