Clifford M. Jackson (Red), of Riverside, Ohio, passed away on January 2, 2016 at the age of 81 due to complications with pneumonia. Clifford was born on January 8, 1934 in Monterey, TN. He was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Mertie Sparks Jackson; brother, Willie Noble Jackson, and son-in-law, John Flippo. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma June Jackson; three daughters, Connie Flippo, Patricia (Paul) Stanbery, and Barbara (Robert) Leach; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Mabel (Tom) Roberson; brother, Ray (Ann) Jackson, and nine nieces and nephews.
Clifford retired from Hobart Dayton Scale Division after forty years of working as a Job Setter. In 2011, he was inducted into the Kil-kare Dragway Hall of Fame. He was a co-owner, driver, and an engine builder for both the Crusader and Dodge Material race cars.
Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45432 on Friday, January 8th, from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9th at 1pm, also at the funeral home. As a courtesy to others please avoid wearing fragrances.
