Tipton, Clifford Garrett, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday October 16, 2011. He was born February 3, 1932 in Estill County, KY, to Ben & Leatha (Sparks) Tipton. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clyde & Cecil Tipton and a sister, Arminta Chester of KY. He is survived by his wife Geraldine "Jerry" of 54 years and a brother, Charles (Rosalie) Tipton of KY. Three daughters, Carolyn (Richard) Burke of OH, Kathy (Frank) Saujon of MS, and Cindy (Gary) Feltner of OH. Grandchildren, Sarah Hurt of MS; Jeffery Loy (Lisa)of MS:Rebecca Raine of MS; Clifford "CJ" Saujon of MS; Deborah Feltner of AR; Laura Feltner of OH; Tiffany Feltner of TN; Gabriel Feltner of WV. Great-grandchildren, James, Jon, Jerri Anne, Jacob, Jefferson Hurt (Sarah); Jeffery Jr., Kamryn Loy (Jeffery); Myles, Melovia, Miguel Raines (Rebecca); Bayley Grider, Beckett Beam (Debroah). Clifford had a love for the bus ministry within the church and remained active in this ministry for more than 21 years. He worked for the City of Dayton, Sewer Maintenance for 30 years, as well as at Furst Florist for 11 years. Clifford also enjoyed playing pool with his good friend, John Nichols. The family would like to thank The Hospice of Dayton for their care and compassion during this difficult time. A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will take place on Thursday October 20, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Mike Holland will be officiating the service. Burial to follow at Bearcreek/Hillgrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clifford's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
